They plan to provide drivers with 6,000 miles of free EV charging, alongside OVO’s cost-effective Charge Anytime add-on, allowing drivers to charge their EVs at just 7p per kWh, one of the cheapest rates on the market.

Customers who switch to OVO Energy and select their Charge Anytime add-on will enjoy exclusive access to 6,000 free EV miles. The initiative is designed to encourage more drivers to make the switch to electric by offering affordable and greener alternatives to traditional petrol-powered vehicles.
Charge Anytime: Affordable and Smart
The Charge Anytime add-on is compatible with most salary sacrifice cars and home charging points. Priced at just 7p per kWh, it effectively reduces the cost of charging to about 2p per mile, much cheaper than running a petrol or diesel car.
OVO’s Charge Anytime programme ensures EVs are charged during the greenest times, maximising both savings and environmental impact. Users can manage their charging schedules through the OVO app, which automatically selects the lowest energy rates to minimise costs. OVO estimates that drivers can power their EVs for as little as £200 per year.
How to Get the Offer
Drivers do need to be OVO home energy customers. After signing up with OVO, adding the Charge Anytime option to their plan is free, allowing customers to save up to £440 a year by smart charging at home. The OVO app makes the process easy, allowing users to set their desired charging times and monitor savings and environmental impact..
Eligibility and How to Join
To qualify for OVO’s Charge Anytime, you must have a compatible electric car, a home charging point, a smart meter, and be an OVO customer. If you’re already an OVO customer, you can check compatibility through your account, or prospective customers can verify their setup before making the switch.
